Text against terror

Anyone else hear this garbage? I have a lot lately in jersey. Apparently if you look nervous and have your Hands in your pockets you might be a terrorist.

Sorry, it's a radio commercial with a couple of kids acting like they are on abus or subway and they see this guy with his hands in his pockets And looking around and one kid says to another something about why take a chance we should send a text to the government about this guy

I didn't realize it was from last year but I have not heard the commercials until recently. They must be trying to rev up the fear for election time

Fabulous! We should all do this. Think of the volume of useless data that could be generated.

I'm sure it's no coincidence, but this all sounds a lot like the Red Scares that Dan was talking about.

Is there a Red under your bed?

Honestly, I think the terrorist threat is completely overblown. Completely and utterly ridiculous.

As drtech points out: if everyone dropped the dime on someone, the security forces would be completely overwhelmed. It would take six months to go through the leads, at which point whatever was going to happen already has happened.
